Tom Henry, writing for the Toledo Blade, calls the album, "...a solid 10-song set of the freewheelin’, modern jazz and bebop/funk genre, tempered by smooth, almost sensual guitar riffs, a number of hot licks, and, of course, impressive soloing by all three members of the Jason Quick Trio."
In a review by Ira Lax published in the May edition of the Southeastern Michigan Jazz Association (semja) Newsletter and website:
"This date explores jazz, rock, blues, and some astral explorations.” Characterizing the various songs as “…a slower organ groove with a lengthy, but strong singing theme ...joyful jaunty exploration... guitar and organ circle the hood like night owls, spirits soaring ...a nod to Jimi Hendrix …spatial, smooth … playful chat … drawing this listener in with Quick’s searching guitar."
